This website is served through GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open the site, GitHub processes the data this technically requires, in particular your IP address, the time of the request and information about your browser, and stores your IP address for security purposes. We do not receive these logs ourselves; GitHub determines how long it keeps them. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which GitHub is certified. Contacting us by email

If you write to us, we process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Our mailbox is hosted by Google (Google Workspace), and AI assistants from Anthropic and OpenAI help us sort incoming mail and draft replies. These providers process messages on our behalf, partly in the USA; the transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict its processing and to data portability (Art. 15 to 18 and 20 GDPR). An email to the address above is enough.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; ours is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

Right to object

Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
